Commander-in-Chief: Christmas magic at the Spartak SEC: from St Nicholas's Residence to the traditional nativity scene

22.01.2026

No tickets or restrictions – just open conversation

At the Spartak SEC, the season of winter wonders is officially open. While the country is going through difficult times, the shopping centre is transforming into an island of stability and genuine children's smiles, where every event aims not only to entertain, but also to return to the little ones a piece of their childhood stolen by the war.

How did the meeting with Mykola go?

4th and 5th December at Spartak there was a real festive atmosphere mood. Near the main Christmas tree, St. Nicholas's Residence opened. These were days full of warm meetings and live emotions.

Without tickets and without limits – just open communication. The little ones shared their deepest desires, received pleasant surprises from the Wonderworker's helpers, and parents had the opportunity to capture these precious moments in photos.

«If through our efforts a child gets the chance to feel they are in a safe world for at least a few hours, that already justifies all the resources spent,» notes the CEO of Spartak STRC Roksolana Pyrtko.

Getting ready for the Christmas nativity scene

The next important event will be the traditional Christmas nativity scene. Spartak SEC invites visitors to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Ukrainian traditions, where ancient rituals come to life and heartfelt carol singing echoes.

This is an opportunity not only to see a dramatised performance, but also to feel the unity of the community around shared values. The exact date and time of the nativity play will be announced on the centre's official social media pages.

More than a shopping centre: A mission of support

STRC Spartak systematically develops children's initiatives, where sport holds a special place. Free-style wrestling tournaments of the «Spartak» club are regularly held on the basis of the centre, helping young people to forge their spirit and strength. In addition to sport, Spartak organises charity exhibitions, creative events (such as «My Hero Defenders») and large-scale celebrations for displaced children, creating a safe space for them to socialise and develop.

«We want Spartak to remain an open space where children find support and inspiration. Business today is not just about commerce, but about the ability to respond quickly to the needs of society. Creating conditions for development, communication, and preserving childhood is our responsibility,» adds Roksolana Pyrtko.
