In Lviv, the Roksolana and Spartak shopping and entertainment centres have become an example of how business can support the country in wartime not only financially but also through specific social initiatives. У your blog CEO of both centres Roksolana Pyrtko explained how these spaces are changing along with society and taking on new functions. About this the newspaper writes Ekonomichna Pravda.
In the Roksolana shopping mall established The "table of memory" is a special space for commemorating fallen soldiers.
"This is not just a symbolic gesture. We want the memory of those who gave their lives for Ukraine to be part of our everyday life. People pass by every day and stop at least for a moment to think about the price of our freedom," writes Roksolana Pirtko.
Spartak shopping and entertainment centre co-operates with the national centre UNBROKEN Ukraine, helping veterans and wounded soldiers integrate into everyday life. It creates conditions for rehabilitation and a gradual return to the urban rhythm.
"For a person with a prosthesis, even taking an escalator or going shopping can be a challenge. Our task is to make this journey as comfortable and dignified as possible," explains the CEO.
The blog notes that such initiatives are part of a broader strategy - shopping malls are becoming spaces that shape a culture of remembrance, support volunteer projects and create an environment for recovery.
"We measure our effectiveness not only by profit, but also by the extent to which we help society to keep the home front,"notesRoksolana Pirtko.
Thus, Lviv's Roksolana and Spartak perform several functions at once: they remain a place of service for city residents, but at the same time they are centres of memory, mutual support and adaptation.
